We transfer knowledge for and in collaboration with students and partners. Our teaching staff (experts in their respective subjects) is supported by freelancing lecturers (active practitioners in their fields) from all over the world, who are invited to share their experiences with our students.

To complete design studies at the University of Applied Sciences, FH JOANNEUM Graz, means to get a recognized university degree and to gain general design competences and experiences plus the ability to compete and to succeed on an international level.

The Bachelor Degree in Information Design provides professional instruction in the areas of Graphic Design, Typography, Web Design, Interactive Multimedia Design, Interface Design, Audio and Video Production, History of Design and 3-D Animation.
A madatory excursion takes place in the 5th semester and internship experience with a professional Graphic Design Studio, Advertising Agency, Publisher (print or web), Corporate Design Department or Multimedia Design Company is required in the 5th and 6th Semester.

A great exhibit can promote and at the same time inform the customer about a certain product or service. Exhibition design is a very useful set of skills to convey the art of appropriately presenting information to a variety of people.
The master programme Exhibition Design provides professional instruction in the areas of this new, interdisciplinary discipline, since a wide assortment of goods, products, services, companies and other things can actually be showcased (f.e.: shops, trade shows, museums, commemorative and promotional exhibits).

A degree in the master programme Communication, Media and Interaction Design provides various professional opportunities in the fields of all the creative industries. The main focus of this programme lies on the design of multi-media contents as well as of communication and interaction processes which help to convey multi-media contents to the user.
